Stockhead Investor: New executives give Astral Resources a leg up ahead of gold production at Mandilla
A set of important executive and mining services selections has placed Astral Resources firmly on the road to development and production at the Mandilla gold project in WA.
Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) has selected Jed Whitford as chief operating officer and Mathew Wilson as general manager for Mandilla, also tapping Taylor Collison as debt advisor to assist with financing.
Managing director Marc Ducler said the company was delighted to welcome Whitford and Wilson to the executive team, bringing a wealth of corporate and operational experience with them.
“Both of these new appointees will play a leading role in overseeing the completion of the Mandilla definitive feasibility study and progressing the project towards a final investment decision,” he said.
“In parallel with the completion of the DFS, we also intend to commence debt financing negotiations in the near future and, to this end, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Taylor Collison as our debt advisor.”
Just as importantly, AAR has contracted GR Engineering services to undertake a definitive feasibility study (DFS) for all process and non-process infrastructure at the project.
